Herron Rehabilitation and Wellness Center’s certified massage therapists use massage to promote relaxation and relieve pain that may be accompanying your symptoms during therapy.
Massage is a system of pressing and kneading different soft tissues in the body (muscles, tendons, and ligaments) and it offers a variety of health benefits: pain relief, relaxation, improved muscle tone, stimulation of circulatory and lymphatic systems, and more efficient elimination of waste throughout the body. Although a single massage will reduce fatigue, stress and relax you, the effects of massage are cumulative.
Patients that receive a course of massage treatments will enjoy maximum benefits, in either 30 minute or 60 minute sessions. Depending on your individualized needs, insurance may pay for massage therapy.
