Nutritional Counseling

Hair Analysis, or Trace Mineral Analysis, is a test which measures the mineral content of your hair. Mineral content of the hair can reflect mineral content of body tissues. If a mineral deficiency or toxicity exists in the hair, it usually indicates a mineral deficiency within the body. Nutritional counseling can provide a “window” into the metabolic activity within your body that can help our office prescribe a unique treatment protocol in order to properly treat your condition.

If your hair does indeed reveal an elevated calcium level after hair analysis, it’s possible that your body’s calcium level is also higher. If this is the case, a strong tendency exists for arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries).

If the nutritional counseling shows our office team that your calcium level is low, then a tendency exists toward osteoporosis (demineralization of bone), increased tendency to bone fractures, periodontal disease, and even muscle cramps, etc.

Interestingly, various mineral imbalances, as revealed by hair analysis, frequently lead to metabolic dysfunctions before any symptoms actually materialize.

Why Test For Minerals?

Minerals are involved in almost all enzyme reactions within the body. Without enzyme activity, life ceases to exist. A trace mineral analysis is preventive as well as being useful as a screening tool.

Who Needs a Hair Analysis?

Anyone who is found ill and no explanation can be found. Hair Analysis can also be used when the cause seems to be determined and the recommended therapy isn’t effective. Hair analysis opens up a whole new possibility on how to solve your particular problem based on recognizing your biochemical individuality.
